Example Closes the Tut's Stage on Friday of TRNMST 2019

Dance hit-maker Example joins us to close the Friday Tut’s stage this year in Glasgow Green.

Elliot Gleave, better known as Example, career spans the past decade and needs little introduction: with three top 10 albums (including the Platinum selling number 1 'Playing In The Shadows'), ten top 10 singles, arena tours and festival headline slots in over 60 countries.

Example has worked alongside many noteable artists such as Calvin Harris and Chase & Status on his second album ‘Won’t Go Quietly’. The album went to number four on the UK Albums Chart and peaked at number one on the UK Dance charts. Check out the single 'Kickstarts' which features on the album...

His latest project (suitably titled “Bangers and Ballads”) is no exception. His next releases are: “about having no rules anymore – being who I am and who I want to be, not pandering to the needs of record execs and radio playlisters.”

His happiness with wife of 5 years (the model/presenter Erin McNaught) and two young boys shines through in pop ballads 'S1MPL3' and 'Headlights', 'Into Darkness' alludes to a more difficult time of life for the artist, but club bangers like 'Sit Down Gary', 'Show Me How To Love' and 'Back for More' show us that for Example, the party is by no means over.

This is his latest single ‘All Night’…

2019 will see Mr E.G. release a song a month: “Call it 12 separate singles or an album spread over a year. I don’t care about playing the game anymore – I just want to have fun with my music again!”.

Get ready for a bounce as Example close the King Tut’s Stage Powered by Utilita Energy on Friday 12th July, playing alongside Mist, Mahalia, Jimothy, The Big Moon, Cassia, Inhaler, and Kobi Onyame.
