Snow Patrol at TRNSMT 2019

Catch Snow Patrol perform live at TRNSMT on Sunday 14th July!

Snow Patrol are a five-piece alt-rock band with strong Scottish roots. With both Northern Irish and Scottish members, they formed in 1994 at the University of Dundee fresher’s week. In 2003, they hit a major-label debut with 'Final Straw' followed by 'Eyes Open' in 2006, which features 'Chasing Cars', their biggest selling single to date. These efforts saw the band at UK Top Ten platinum with 'A Hundred Millions Suns' and 'Fallen Empires'.

Earlier this year, they played a SOLD OUT UK Arena Tour following the release of their newest album ‘Wildness’, stopping off at the SSE Hydro in January to play to a sold out crowd. During their concert, the band hinted at a return to Glasgow this summer, so it came as no surprise to fans when we revealed them in our TRNSMT 2019 Line-Up! Cheers Gary…

Snow Patrol are no stranger to a Scottish crowd. Last year they played a special intimate charity gig at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow; a venue they’ve “played at so many times at that they’ve lost count” and the first larger venue they ever played at back in 1998.

Check out this throwback of them playing at King Tut’s…

Gary Lightbody, Snow Patrol said: “We’re excited to make our TRNSMT debut this summer in Glasgow on the closing day of the festival. Glasgow holds a special place in our hearts having lived and made music in the city for a decade and we can’t wait to play to the TRNSMT crowd.”

Head to TRNSMT on the final day of the music festival to see them perform hit songs like ‘Chasing Cars’, ‘Open Your Eyes’ and ‘Just Say Yes’. You’ll also be able to catch artists like George Ezra, The Kooks, & Jess Glynne the on the main stage, and Circa Waves, Mystery Jets, and SWMRS on the King Tut’s Powered by Utilita Stage!
