2. Get the TRNSMT app
Stage times, site map, real-time updates, your tickets – all in your pocket.
3. Pack smart
Struggling with what to bring? Here are some festival essentials to help you get started…
A bag smaller than A4 paper, valid ID, bank card or contactless payment, an empty soft water bottle or pouch 500ml or less (no glass or metal), small travel size sunscreen, portable phone charger, small camera, sunglasses, wet wipes or tissues, ear plugs, small hand sanitiser, any medication you need – this must be clearly labelled and in the original box or container. Please don't bring:
Disposable vapes, bags bigger than A4 paper, glass (including perfumes), metal/glass/ hard plastic water bottles, food or drink (even if unopened), drugs, flares, fireworks and smoke canisters, chairs, professional cameras, selfie sticks, umbrellas, or anything else you’d have to explain to security!
Visit our Essential Info page to find out more.
Please be prepared for delays on entry for searches and ID checks. Any items confiscated will not be returned, so pack carefully and don’t risk it!
4. Plan your weekend
Check the lineup ahead of time. Build your own schedule in the app and be open to surprises – sometimes the best moments happen at the sets you didn’t plan to see!
During the festival
- See all your faves (and discover new ones): There’s more to TRNSMT than the Main Stage! Why not pop by the King Tut’s Stage or BBC Introducing Stage?
- The Hangout: Exclusive to over 18s, The Hangout is packed with fun, energy and a few surprises you won’t want to miss. It’s the perfect spot to take a break from the buzz of the main stages or get involved in some more unique fun. We’re talking Bongo’s Bingo, high-energy ceilidhs, Drag-aoke hosted by Miss Lola Fierce, banging DJ sets, pub quizzes, buskers, and more. Plus, fans of the Who Agrees? podcast with Paul Black and Kendra McPherson can join the duo as they talk all things pop-culture for a special live recording. If you're lucky, you might just stumble across a secret set from one of your favourite artists too...
- Fun fair: Whether you're chasing an adrenaline rush or looking for that perfect insta-moment, we've got you covered.
- Secret Garden: Tucked away from the main stage, the Secret Garden is your hidden oasis right in the heart of the festival.
- Reset: Need a breather? Reset is the place to be.
- Jägerplatz: The lineup doesn’t just include ice cold drinks, but some phenomenal DJ’s – this is an area you won’t want to miss. Just follow the stag…
- BBC Radio 1 Photobooth: This is where you can get the chance to meet and take a photo with your favourite artists on the lineup!
- Look after yourself and each other: Stay hydrated, eat well, and take breaks. TRNSMT is meant to be unforgettable – but for all the right reasons. Don’t let one daft decision ruin your whole weekend. Find out how to avoid festival FOMO.
- Help us keep TRNSMT looking as good as you: Insta-worthy selfies don’t come with rubbish in the background. Please use the bins!
