Safe, Not Sorry: Avoid Festival FOMO This Summer

We’re just weeks away from Rockstar Energy presents TRNSMT Festival 2025 and we can’t wait to see you there!

TRNSMT is meant to be unforgettable – but for all the right reasons. Don’t let one daft decision ruin your whole weekend. Whether it’s missing the headliner, getting turned away at the gates, or ending up in the medic tent (or worse – a police van), it’s just not worth it.

Avoid Festival FOMO this summer by following our tips and tricks for keeping yourself and others safe, not sorry.

Drink smart – you didn’t come all this way to miss the best bit

Yes, festivals are about having fun – but drinking too much, too soon, can turn legendary nights into early exits and missing the moments that matter. If you plan to drink, there’s no shame in a wee water break – you didn’t pay to miss your favourite band because you peaked too soon!

If you're under 18, don’t even risk it. Preloading before entry could see you turned away at the gate before your weekend even begins.

Remember:

There’s no shame in a water break – stay hydrated

Under 18? Leave the booze behind

The party’s inside. Don’t let preloading keep you out

Bring Your ID – or miss out

It’s simple: No ID = no entry if you look under 25. No exceptions. Don’t let your entire weekend end at the gate because you forgot your ID or brought a fake one. You’ll be GUTTED if your pals get in and you don’t.

Consent is everything

Being at a festival doesn’t mean boundaries disappear. If it’s not a clear, enthusiastic yes, then it’s a no. And remember, anyone under the influence cannot consent.

If you or a pal feel unsafe at any time, head to welfare and Ask for Angela – we’ve got you.

Drugs

There’s no safe level of drug use, and mixing drugs – including alcohol and prescription medication – is NEVER a good idea. Leave the mixing to the DJs!

If you have taken drugs and something feels wrong, get help and be honest about what you’ve taken – it could save your life.

Remember:

If you or a friend feel unwell, no matter the reason, go to welfare or ask a steward for help. Zero judgement. Total support. If something goes wrong, we’re here

Keep an eye on your drink and an eye out for your pals. If your drink looks, smells, or tastes off – don’t take the risk

Zero tolerance. Spiking will get you arrested

Don’t let peer pressure win

You don't have to say yes to impress, and real mates would never push you to risk your safety.

If something doesn’t feel right – stop. FOMO is a choice, don’t let yours be a bad one. The best times are the ones you remember, not the ones you regret.

Pyro and flares = a fast track to getting FOMO

Did you know flares can burn at 1600°C? That’s hotter than lava.

Flares, pyro, and smoke canisters can all lead to serious injury or arrest. Don’t risk it. Unless you want to spend the night with the police instead of your pals, of course…

No drama, just good vibes

Anti-social behaviour? Not welcome at TRNSMT. Everyone’s here for a good time – don’t be the one who ruins it. If things start to kick off, take a breath and step back.

Need Help? Just Ask

Lost your mates? Feeling unwell or overwhelmed? Seen something dodgy? Find a steward, head to welfare, or speak to security. They’re here to help, not judge. Whether it’s something small or something serious, we’ve got your back.

Remember:

Good mates check in, not out. Keep each other safe. If you need help, just ask

You’ve waited all year for this – don’t let one daft decision ruin it. Be smart, look out for each other, and have the time of your life! Because nothing’s worse than festival FOMO... especially when it was avoidable.
