Pepsi MAX presents TRNSMT is excited to announce a fourth headliner…Scotland’s World Cup team!
Scotland’s World Cup group stage clash against Morocco is set to be shown live on the festival’s opening night at Glasgow Green. As Scott McTominay, Lawrence Shankland, Kieran Tierney and Kenny McLean once did against Denmark, the festival has scored a screamer of its own – bringing the Hampden roar to the heart of the city and giving fans the chance to round off a day of sensational live music by cheering on their heroes on the biggest screens in the country.
With Steve Clarke leading his side onto football’s greatest stage for the first time in almost 30 years, Scotland face three crucial matches in the United States, taking on Haiti on 14th June before meeting Morocco on 19th June – the very same day TRNSMT kicks off. Although the match begins at 11pm, the festival team has worked behind the scenes to ensure ticket holders can remain at the festival to watch the game live from Boston, transforming Glasgow Green into Scotland’s most exciting World Cup watch party!
The football action will follow an amazing day and night of music, with Richard Ashcroft finishing his headline set in plenty of time for fans to grab food and refreshments before kick-off. Wolf Alice, The Beta Band and Nile Rodgers & Chic are also on Friday’s lineup, and will ensure the party atmosphere is in full swing before Scotland take centre stage in what promises to be a truly unique festival experience.
This will be a historic moment for the festival and for Scotland - TRNSMT isn’t just hosting headliners, it’s hosting history.
Access to the screening will be available to all Friday ticket holders and multi-day pass holders that include Friday. You can still grab tickets but be quick to buy so you don’t miss out on a night in Glasgow that blends world-class music and national pride.
Event subject to licenses.
