Plasticine

Plasticine are indie sweet and sour. An incandescent cacophony of face melting guitars delivered with husky candy floss vocals all wrapped in a Glasgow attitude. A mind meld of Smashing Pumpkins with Mily Cyrus and The Pixies with Avril Lavigne turning out pop hooks over a grungy wall of sound drenched in reverb. Comprised of frontwoman Summer Skye, brothers Connah and Bob O’Reilly-Mclean on bass and guitar and drummer Ross Howarth, Plasticine might only have been together since 2022 but their brief existence belies a far longer gestation in the mind of their precariously-talented chief songwriter.
